Lomersheim also dates back to the medieval period. Along our hike, we encounter only a few remnants of the former castle. The district itself has been shaped by the Enz River and the industrialization it enabled through water power. Until the 1960s, a large textile factory operated here, and even today, Lomersheim is home to a significant mechanical engineering company.
